With the Skylight Mobile App, set up your child’s Buddy to help them get to sleep on time and wake up bright and early!
With the Sleep & Wake settings, you can manage how your child’s Buddy behaves while your child is sleeping, and set an alarm with Buddy to wake your child up.
Tap the Sleep & Wake icon to see the sleep and wake options:
Select a Profile
Use the Profiles bar to select which Buddy you want to manage:
Sleep
Set up sleep mode on the Sleep panel:
Display
Choose the display mode:
- Screen Off to completely darken the screen during sleep.
- Dim Clock to dim the clock display during sleep.
Sounds
Enable Sleep Sounds to have buddy play audio during sleep.
Available sounds:
- Brown Noise
- Ocean Waves
- Rain
- Stream
- White Noise
The selected sound will stop playing when Buddy leaves sleep mode.
Nightlight
Enable Nightlight to turn on Buddy’s nightlight during sleep.
When enabled, Buddy’s base will light up with a gentle, warm glow.
Adjust the strength of the nightlight with the Brightness slider.
The nightlight will turn off when Buddy leaves sleep mode.
Enable and Disable Sleep Mode from the Mobile App
If Buddy is not in sleep mode, tap Start Sleep on Buddy Now to immediately enable sleep mode.
If Buddy is already in sleep mode, tap Stop Sleep on Buddy Now to disable sleep mode.
Wake
Set up the start of the day on the Wake panel:
Enable and Disable the Alarm
Tap the toggle switch to enable or disable the alarm.
Edit the Alarm
- Tap the time to open the Alarm screen.
- Tap Time to set the time.
- Adjust the Volume slider to set the volume of the alarm.
- Tap Sound to open the list of available alarm sounds.
- Select an alarm sound.
- Tap the back arrow.
- Tap the back arrow.
Alarm Volume
Alarm volume is separate from the volume used for other Buddy sounds (chimes, sleep mode sounds, etc.). Alarm volume can only be adjusted using the Skylight Mobile App.

- Chime
- Marimba
- Nature
- Soothe
- Sunny
