The Skylight Mobile App for iOS includes iOS Widgets to access your Skylight account. Place Widgets on your iPhone or iPad home screen to quickly view upcoming events or lists.
Adding a Widget
To add a Skylight Widget, you must install the Skylight Mobile App.
Adding a Skylight Widget to your Home Screen
Add a Skylight Widget to your Home Screen:
- Go to the Home Screen.
Swipe up from the bottom of the screen, or press the home button on older devices. - Touch and hold the Home Screen background until the icons start to jiggle.
- Tap Edit.
- Tap Add Widget.
- In the Search Widgets box, type Skylight.
- Tap Skylight.
Available widgets will appear in the pane on the right, one at a time. Swipe left and right to see more widgets. - Select a Widget by swiping.
- Tap Add Widget.
The Widget will appear on your Home Screen.

Using Skylight Widgets
You can install as many or as few Widgets as you like. If you have to keep track of multiple calendars, install two or more Skylight Calendar Widgets to view them at a glance. If you want to stay on top of your To-Do List and your Grocery list, you can install a list widget for each.
Calendar Widgets
Skylight Mobile App provides two Calendar Widgets: a Small Widget and a Medium Widget.
Tap a Calendar Widget to bring up the Calendar view in the Skylight Mobile App. Widgets are not scrollable.
The Small Calendar Widget displays the current day and date, and one column of upcoming events.
The Medium Calendar Widget displays the current day and date, and two columns of upcoming events. If there are too many events for two columns, the second column will end with a note of how many additional events could not be displayed.
The Large Calendar Widget displays the current day and date, and two columns of upcoming events. If there are too many events for two columns, the second column will end with a note of how many additional events could not be displayed.
Configure a Calendar Widget
The Widgets can be configured to show events from a particular calendar, and hide all-day events.
Change the Widget settings:
- Touch and hold the widget.
- In the pop-up menu, tap Edit Widget.
- Tap Choose to select the calendar which the Widget will show events from.
- Tap the Hide All-Day Events toggle to show or hide all-day events.
List Widgets
Skylight Mobile App provides two List Widgets: a Small Widget and a Medium Widget.
Tap a List Widget to bring up the Lists view in the Skylight Mobile App. Widgets are not scrollable.
The Small Lists Widget displays the list name, the total number of items in the list, and up to three list items.\
The Medium Lists Widget displays the list name, the total number of items in the list, and up to six list items. If there are more than six items, the list will end with a note of how many additional items could not be displayed.
The Large Lists Widget displays the list name, the total number of items in the list, and up to fourteen list items. If there are more than fourteen items, the list will end with a note of how many additional items could not be displayed.
Configure a List Widget
The Widgets can be configured to show items from a particular List from a particular Calendar.
Change the Widget settings:
- Touch and hold the widget.
- In the pop-up menu, tap Edit Widget.
- Tap Calendar to select a Calendar.
- Tap List to select a List from the selected Calendar.
Tasks Widgets
Skylight Mobile App provides two Tasks Widgets: a Small Widget and a Medium Widget.
A Tasks widget will only display today’s tasks.
Tap a Tasks Widget to bring up the Tasks view in the Skylight Mobile App. Widgets are not scrollable.
The Small Tasks Widget displays the Task list name, the total number of tasks, and up to three tasks.
The Medium Tasks Widget displays the Task list name, the total number of items in the task list, and up to six tasks. If there are more than six tasks, the list will end with a note of how many additional tasks could not be displayed.
Configure a Tasks Widget
The Tasks Widgets can be configured to show items from a particular Tasks list from a particular Calendar.
Change the Widget settings:
- Touch and hold the widget.
- In the pop-up menu, tap Edit Widget.
- Tap Calendar to select a Calendar.
- Tap Profile to select a Profile from the selected Calendar.
- Tap the Late Tasks toggle switch to show or hide tasks that are past due.
Removing a Skylight Widget
Remove a Skylight Widget to your Home Screen:
- Go to the Home Screen.
Swipe up from the bottom of the screen, or press the home button on older devices. - Touch and hold the Home Screen background until the icons start to jiggle.
- Tap the minus (–) icon in the upper left corner of the Widget.
Tap Remove.
