Widgets for Android

The Skylight Mobile App for Android includes Widgets to access your Skylight account. Place Widgets on your homescreen to quickly access upcoming events.

Adding a Skylight Widget to your Home Screen

Add an Android Skylight Widget to your Home Screen:

1. Go to the Home Screen.
2. Touch and hold anywhere on the background wallpaper.
3. Tap Widgets.
4. In the Search Widgets box, type Skylight.
5. Tap Skylight.
   Available widgets will appear in the pane on the right, one at a time. Swipe left and right to see more widgets.
6. Select a Widget by tapping.
7. Tap Add Widget.
8. Tap Add to add the widget.

Using Skylight Widgets

You can install as many or as few Widgets as you like. If you have to keep track of multiple calendars, install two or more calendar widgets to view them at a glance.

Calendar Widgets

Skylight Mobile App provides a 2x2 Calendar Widget and a 4x4 Calendar Widget.

Tapping on a calendar widget opens the calendar in the Skylight Mobile App.

The 2x2 Calendar Widget displays the current day and date, and one column of upcoming events.

The 4x4 Calendar Widget displays the schedule view of the next 4 days, starting with today.

Configure a Calendar Widget

Remove a Skylight Widget to your Home Screen:

1. Go to the Home Screen.
2. Touch and hold the widget.
3. Drag the widget to the Widget Settings button and release.
4. Tap on Calendars to choose which of your calendars this widget displays.
5. Tap the Hide All-Day Events toggle to show or hide all-day events. 
6. Tap Done.

List Widgets

Skylight Mobile App provides a 2x2 list widget.

Tap a List Widget to bring up the Lists tile in the Skylight Mobile App. Widgets are not scrollable.

The 2x2 Lists Widget displays the list name, the total number of items in the list, and up to three list items.

Configure a List Widget

The List Widgets can be configured to show items from a particular List from a particular Calendar.

Change the Widget settings:

1. Touch and hold the widget.
2. Drag the widget to the Widget Settings button and release.
3. Tap Calendar to select a Calendar.
4. Tap List to select a List from the selected Calendar.

Tasks Widgets

Skylight Mobile App provides a 2x2 Tasks Widget.

A Tasks widget will only display today’s tasks.

Tap a Tasks Widget to bring up the Task tile in the Skylight Mobile App. Widgets are not scrollable.

The 2x2 Tasks Widget displays the Task list name, the total number of tasks, and up to three tasks.

Configure a Tasks Widget

The Tasks Widgets can be configured to show items from a particular Tasks list from a particular Calendar.

Change the Widget settings:

1. Touch and hold the widget.
2. Drag the widget to the Widget Settings button and release.
3. Tap Calendar to select a Calendar.
4. Tap Profile to select a Profile from the selected Calendar.
5. Tap the Late Tasks toggle switch to show or hide tasks that are past due.

Removing a Skylight Widget

Remove a Skylight Widget to your Home Screen:

1. Go to the Home Screen.
2. Touch and hold the widget.
3. Drag the widget to the Remove button and release.
