Skylight Magic Import is a powerful tool that allows you to convert any email, spreadsheet, PDF, screenshot, or photo of an event flyer into events and have it magically populate in your Skylight Calendar.
How do I get access to Magic Import?

How do I make the events appear on my Calendar?
Simply send or forward an email with an attachment to your Skylight Calendar’s email address. Your Calendar’s email address looks like “yourdevicename@ourskylight.com”.
Your device’s name is located at the top of the in-app dashboard, or in Settings (gear icon) -> “How it works” on the device.
Once your file has been received and imported, you'll receive an email from us confirming that the events have been processed.
What kind of files does Magic Import support?
We're working to support as many file types as possible, but currently Magic Import works with:
- Emails containing text
- PDFs
- Images: .png, .jpg,most major image formats
- Spreadsheets
- Screenshots or images of any document containing event information
How do I assign a category to my Magic Import events?
In the subject line of the email you're sending, simply put the name of the Category you'd like the events to be nested under and Magic Import will assign them!
I just bought my Skylight Calendar, but Magic Import doesn't work!
To use Magic Import, you'll need to have activated your Calendar and set up your Time Zone.

My event imported events incorrectly/I want to delete the events!
Magic Import is a brand new feature and we're actively working to make it as smooth as possible, but depending on the import, it may not always get everything right! Here's a few things to check:
- Check to ensure the event has a month and date visible. Your Skylight won't be able to process events without that information.
- Be sure to check your inbox for a confirmation email pertaining to your upload. In that email, you'll find the ability to reverse the import.
- If you're still experiencing problems, please reach out to us and we'll work to get a fix in place for you as quickly as possible!
