The Account screen of the My Skylight Menu contains all of the settings for your Skylight Account, including account holder information and settings and actions relating to your account.
Account Holder Information
Name
The Name textbox displays the name of the Skylight Account holder.
Change the account holder name:
- Tap the Name textbox.
- Update the name of the account holder.
- Save the change:
- iPhone users: tap Done.
- Android users: tap the check mark.
Email Address
The Email address textbox displays the email address of the account holder.
This email address is used for Skylight Account notifications, and is used to log in to Skylight services (the Skylight Mobile and Desktop Apps).
Change the account holder email address:
- Tap the Email address textbox.
- Update the name of the account holder.
- In the Confirm your password textbox, enter your Skylight Account password.
If you have forgotten your password, tap Reset it here to start the password reset process. - Tap Update.
Password
The Password textbox displays stars if your password is set.
Password resets happen by emai: when you request a password reset, an email will be sent to your email address containing a link you can use to reset your Skylight Account password.
Make sure you have access to the email account you have listed in the Email Address textbox. The password reset email will be sent to this address. If you cannot access this email account, you will not be able to reset your password.
If you find you are unable to access this email account, please contact us at vip@myskylight.com.
Change your password:
- Tap the Password text box.
- Tap Reset password.
Phone Number
Tap the Phone number textbox to add a phone number to your Skylight Account.
If there is already a phone number attached to the account, you can remove the phone number by tapping the × on the right side of the textbox.
Birthday
Tap the Birthday textbox to add your birthday to your Skylight Account. You can only add the month and the day.
If you want to remove your birthday, tap the Birthday textbox and tap delete until the birthday is erased.
Settings and Actions
Adjust Appearance
The Skylight Mobile App supports both a Light and Dark mode for the user interface.
Set your preferred appearance:
- Tap Appearance.
- Select how you want your Skylight Mobile App to look:
- Select Light to always use light mode.
- Select Dark to always use dark mode.
- Select Device settings to change the Mobile App’s appearance to match the appearance of your phone.
Manage Notifications
Manage the notifications sent by Skylight:
- Tap Notifications.
Export My Data
At any time, you can request an export of all of your Skylight Account data.
To export your data:
- Tap Export my data.
- Tap Export.
You will receive two emails from info@myskylight.com containing links to your data:
- An email with the subject “Your Account Data Export,” containing a link to all profile data associated with your account and all of your devices.
- An email with the subject “Photos Export,” containing a link to all of the photos you have uploaded to your Skylight Account.
Select these links to download archives of your data in .zip format.
If you do not see the two emails, please check your SPAM folder.
Log Out of Your Skylight Account
You may wish to log out of your Skylight Account to keep it secure when others need to use your phone.
Log out of your Skylight Account:
- Tap Log out.
- Tap Log out to confirm.
You will need to log in again with your Skylight Account email address and password to use the Mobile App with your devices.
Delete Your Skylight Account
Deleting your Skylight Account will lose all of your data. All of the data on all of your Skylight devices will be deleted, and all of your Skylight devices will be reset.
This is permanent. You will not be able to recover your account, or any of the data associated with it.
Please Export Your Data before deleting your Skylight Account.
Delete your Skylight Account:
- Tap Delete account.
- In the Type here textbox, type the prompted text in the instructions.
- Tap Delete account to confirm.
