Settings

Settings are per-device settings. You can have different settings for each of your devices.

To reach the Settings screen:

1. Open the Skylight Mobile App.
2. Tap the My Skylight menu in the upper right corner.
   
3. Tap Settings.

Choose a Device

Select the Skylight Calendar you want to update from the first screen of the settings menu:

If necessary, swipe up and down to see more of the device list.

Settings For Calendar Devices

The settings screen for Calendar devices shows:

• The currently selected device, including the device name and device email.
• Under App Settings, a menu of available settings.
• Under Devices, a list of additional devices connected to your household.

Calendar

Select Calendar to to adjust calendar settings for the selected device.

Synced Calendars

Select Synced Calendars to manage which calendars are synced with your Skylight Account. Please see What does Skylight Calendar sync with? for more.

Shade Weekends

Select the Shade Weekends toggle switch to enable or disable dimming weekend days in the calendar display.

Dim Past Events

Select the Dim Past Events toggle switch to enable or disable dimming past events in the calendar display.

Color Code Multi-Profile Events

Select the Color Code Multi-Profile Events toggle switch to enable or disable events with multiple associated profiles as bars with multiple colors.

Show Meals

Select Show meals to display toggle switches for each of your four meal categories. Toggle the switches to show or hide each category on your device.

Default Sync

When you create events on your Calendar, you can choose to have those events sync back to a calendar synced from a remote calendar provider. If you would like new events on this device to sync back to a particular calendar by default:

1. Select By default, events sync back to…
2. Select a calendar.
   Only one calendar can be chosen as the default.

The calendar you choose will be the default synced calendar for events created on the Calendar device. You may also edit your events to change this setting for individual events.

Notifications

From the My Skylight Menu, select Notifications to manage notifications settings for the selected device.

Calendar Notifications

Toggle At time of event to enable or disable a notification when an event starts.

Toggle Before event to enable or disable a notification before an event starts.

If Before event is enabled, choose when the notification happens:

• 10 minutes before the event
• 30 minutes before the event
• 1 hour before the event
• A custom amount of time before the event

Choose Custom to set an arbitrary time between the notification and the event on the Custom screen.

On the Custom screen:

1. Enter a number in the Amount textbox.
2. Select Minutes, Hours, or Days before.
   Only one unit of time can be selected.
3. Select Done.

Task Notifications

Toggle When Due to show notifications for events that have times attached to them.

Manage Users

Select Manage Users to add or remove user access to the selected device.

Invite Users

Invite a new user to manage the selected device in the Invite section.

Select the Enter email address textbox and type the invited user’s email address.

Select Send.

The email address appears in the list under Has access.

Users With Access

The Has access section lists the users with administrative access to the selected device.

Select Block next to an email address to move that email address to the Blocked list.

Blocked Users 

The Has access section lists the users with administrative access to the selected device.

Select Unblock next to an email address to restore it to the Has access list.

Transfer Ownership

Select Transfer Ownership to transfer the selected device to another person.

1. In the New owner email textbox, enter the email address of the new owner.
2. Select Transfer.
3. Select Transfer to confirm.

Once you transfer the device to the new owner, they will have sole administrative access to the device. You will no longer be able to manage the device, but you will still be able to send content to the device.

Backup all of your device’s contents before transferring ownership to another. 

Privacy Settings

Make changes to the privacy settings for the selected device:

1. Select Privacy Settings.
2. Select Who can send photos? to choose who can send photos to the selected device:
   • Choose Senders who I approve to authorize senders.
   • Choose Anyone to allow anyone to send photos to the selected device.
3. Select Senders can see to choose what photo senders have access to:
   • Choose All photos to permit senders to see everyone's photos
   • Choose Only photos they have sent to restrict senders to only the photos they have sent.
4. Select Save.
