The home screen is the starting point for everything your Buddy can do to help organize your child’s day.
The home screen shows:
- The attached Profile.
- The time in the clock button.
- The current weather (if set).
- The timer button.

- Progress on chores
Profile
In the upper left corner, Buddy will show the Profile picture from your child’s Profile.
Only one Profile can be used with your Buddy. Buddy cannot switch between multiple profiles.
Tap the Profile icon to show the Buddy Menu.
Clock
The home screen always shows the clock button, which displays the time:
Your Buddy will automatically set its clock over the network. If Buddy is showing the wrong time, make sure that Buddy’s time zone is set. Set the time zone for the clock in the Settings Menu on Buddy.
Activate the Clock Screensaver with the Clock Button
Tap the clock button to activate the clock screensaver.
Long Press the Clock Button for Screen Options
Tap and hold the clock button to show buttons for screen options:
- Tap Clock Screen to start the clock screensaver.

Weather
When configured, Buddy will display the current weather in the menubar.

Timer
This feature requires a Skylight Plus for Buddy subscription.
Buddy can help you keep track of time.
If there’s something you want to work on for a set amount of time, tap the timer icon to use the Buddy Timer.
Stars
This feature requires a Skylight Plus for Buddy subscription.
On the home screen shows the number of stars you have saved up:
Tap the button to show your stars in a window:
Tap the close button to close the window.

Routines
The home screen shows a card for each part of the day when you have a routine that you set for yourself. Each card shows how many routines in that part of the day, and how many you have completed. If you don’t have any routines for a part of the day, that card will not appear.
There are cards for each part of the day: morning, afternoon, and evening.
Tap a card to see the routines for that part of the day.

Chores
The home screen shows a card for chores. The card shows how many chores you need to do, and how many of them you have completed.
If you do not have any chores assigned to you, the chore card will not appear.
Tap the chore card to see what chores you need to do.
