How do I set per-event reminders on my Skylight Calendar?

With Skylight Calendar, you can customize the reminder settings for each specific event.

Reminder settings for individual events override the global reminders settings. For more about setting the global defaults for reminders, please see Reminders Settings.

Currently, reminders for specific events are not supported for two-way synced events. To receive reminders for two-way synced events, please turn on Reminders Settings.

Set the Reminder for a New Event

When creating an event, you can set reminders for just that event.

1. Tap the Add button.
   
2. Fill in the event details.
   For more on creating events on the Calendar, please see Using the Calendar Tab.
3. Tap Reminder to show the reminder settings for the event.
4. Customize the reminder settings for the event:
   • Enable At time of event to show a reminder when the event starts.
   • Enable Before event to show a reminder before the event starts. 
     Adjust the Minutes before to control how far in advance to show the reminder.
   • Enable Play sound to play a sound when a reminder is shown for this event.
     Make sure that the device volume is at an appropriate volume. For more about  setting the volume, see General Settings.
5. Tap Add.

Edit the Reminder for an Existing Event

Customize the reminder for an existing individual event, or a repeating series of events:

1. Tap an event to show the event details.
2. Tap the pencil icon to edit the event.
   
3. In the Edit Event panel, tap Reminder to show the reminder settings for the event.
4. Customize the reminder settings for the event:
   • Enable At time of event to show a reminder when the event starts.
   • Enable Before event to show a reminder before the event starts. 
     Adjust the Minutes before to control how far in advance to show the reminder.
   • Enable Play sound to play a sound when a reminder is shown for this event.
     Make sure that the device volume is at an appropriate volume. For more about  setting the volume, see General Settings.
5. Tap Save.

View the Reminder for an Event

To view the reminder status for an individual event, tap on the event to show the event details:

Setting Reminders on Repeating Events

When setting a reminder on a repeating event, choose which events in the repeating series should be affected:

• Choose This event to update the reminder only on the edited event.
• Choose This and following events to update the reminder on all future repeating events in the series.
• Choose All events to update the reminder on all events in the series, both in the future and the past.
