Import Lists

With Magic Import, you can automatically add to your lists by scanning images or speaking into your phone’s microphone. Sidekick can also help you organize your lists by automatically putting list items into sections.

Create a new list with the Sidekick menu bar:

1. Tap Lists.
2. Under Create a new list with Sidekick, choose the import method:
   • Use a Photo
   • Talk into your microphone
     

Add to a list using Magic Import from Sidekick:

1. Tap Sidekick.
2. Tap Import a list.
3. Choose to create a new list, or add to an existing list.
4. Choose the import method:
   • Take a New Photo
   • Talk into your microphone
   • Upload an Image

Import With a Photo

1. Tap Photo.
2. Select a List to add to, or create a new list by entering a name in the Create a new List textbox.
3. Take a new photo, or choose an existing photo from your library.

Import With a New Photo

1. Tap Take Photo.
2. The Mobile App may need permission to access the camera. If needed, tap Grant Permission.

If the import was successful, a preview of the list will be shown with the list title and the list items to be added:

You may now:

• Tap Go to List to see and verify your list.
• Tap Undo Import to delete the list items and try again.

If the import was not successful:

…you may choose to try taking another picture.

Import from an Existing Image

1. Tap Choose from Library.
2. Select an image from your camera roll.
3. The Mobile App may need permission to access the camera roll. If needed, grant Permission.

If the import was successful, a preview of the list will be shown with the list title and the list items to be added:

You may now:

• Tap Go to List to see and verify your list.
• Tap Undo Import to delete the list items and try again.

If the import was not successful:

…you may choose to try another photo.

Capture Speech With the Microphone

1. Tap Talk into your Mic.
2. Tap Start Recording.
3. Say the items you want added to the list.
4. Tap Stop Recording.
5. Mobile App will process your recording.

If the import was successful, a preview of the list will be shown with the list title and the list items to be added:

• Tap Go to Lists to see your lists and verify the new list.
• Tap Undo Import to delete the list items and try again.
