Skylight Calendar can sync with Apple iCloud calendar in both directions; you can sync events created on your iCloud calendar to Skylight, and sync events created on your Skylight Calendar to your iCloud calendar.
Two-way sync may not be appropriate for all cases. Instead, you may want to one-way sync to a subscribed calendar to see events without having access to change them.
You can subscribe to a calendar for your child's school, display the upcoming activities at your local community center, or follow your favorite sports team's schedules via one-way sync.
If you already have a one-way sync to an iCloud calendar, setting up a two-way sync will not replace it. Setting up a two-way sync with a one-way sync in place will cause doubled events to appear in your calendar.
If you already have a one-way sync to an iCloud calendar, you may wish to remove it before setting up a two-way sync to that calendar.

With two-factor authentication enabled, we can create an app-specific password that Skylight Calendar will use to sync your iCloud calendar account:

We will need to use it when configuring the Skylight sync. - Tap Done.
With our app-specific password, we can return to the Skylight Mobile App and finish setting up the two-way sync:
- In the Apple account email address text box, type in the email account associated with your Apple iCloud account.
- In the App-specific password text box, paste the app-specific password you created above.
Do not use your Apple iCloud password. - Tap Sign in.
The Skylight Mobile App will download a list of available calendars in your iCloud account. - On the Which calendars do you want to sync? page, select the Calendars that you would like Skylight to see.
You can select all of the calendars, or choose which calendars you want to sync with the tick boxes. If the calendar you want to sync is not available, tap Reload.
If you want to change the calendars that sync, you will need to remove and re-sync your iCloud calendar account. - Tap Sync (number) Calendars to start the syncing process.
The button will show how many calendars you are preparing to sync.
It can take a few minutes for all of your events to sync to your Skylight device during initial setup.
If you ever want to change which calendars are synced from your iCloud calendar account, you will need to remove and re-sync the account.
Using Two-Way Sync for Apple iCloud
After setting up the two-way sync with your Apple iCloud calendar, events will automatically sync from your iCloud account to your Skylight Account. It may take up to 15 minutes for an event to be updated in your Skylight Account.
If you have explicitly set up customized colors for your calendars in iCloud, those customized calendar colors will be imported into Skylight. The calendar events will be automatically added to a Profile named after the imported color in hex notation (for example, #ab58e4).
You can leave the imported calendar events in the imported profile, or you can merge the events with an existing profile.
With two-way sync, new events created on your Skylight Calendar will sync back to your iCloud calendar, provided you have assigned the event to a synced calendar. To ensure that the event you create on your Calendar will be synced to iCloud:
- Create or edit an event.
- Under Pick a Synced Calendar, choose your iCloud calendar with two-way sync.
You must assign the event to your iCloud account for the event to sync events created on the Calendar to iCloud. You can set your iCloud Calendar as the default in the Settings.
Events you created on the Calendar prior to setting up two-way sync will not be synced.
