Accept a Skylight Invitation to Send Photos and Video

Sending videos with this feature is only available if the sender of the invite has a Frame Plus subscription.

If a family member of friend shares their Skylight Calendar or Frame with you, you will receive an invite link by email. Use this invite link to grant you access to their Skylight device. After accepting the invitation, you can send photos and videos to their Skylight device using the Skylight Mobile App or Skylight Desktop App. 

To accept the link, you will need to:

1. Download and install the Skylight Mobile App or use the Skylight Desktop App.
2. Set up a Skylight Account of your own.
3. Use either app to request access to the Skylight device in the invite.

Get the Skylight App

Use either the Skylight Mobile App or the Skylight Desktop App to connect to the Skylight Account in the invite.

Skylight Mobile App

Use the Skylight Mobile App to access and manage a Skylight Account with your phone or mobile device.

The Skylight Mobile App is available for both Apple iOS and Android:

Set Up a Skylight Account

Open the Skylight Mobile App or the Skylight Desktop App, and set up a Skylight Account:

1. In the Enter your email to start textbox, type in your email address.
   This email address will be used to manage your Skylight Account.
2. Select Next.
3. On the Create Account screen enter your information.
4. Select Create Account.

The welcome dialog box will appear on the next page:

Select Let’s get started.

Requesting Access

Once you have set up your account, request access to the Skylight device in the invite:

1. Open the Skylight Mobile App.
2. Go to the Skylight pane.
   They may need to tap the back arrow to navigate to the Skylight pane.
3. Tap Add.
4. Tap I’m joining someone else’s Skylight.
   
5. Choose the type of device.
   They can join either a Skylight Calendar or a Skylight Frame.
6. On the Find a device pane, they must enter the first part of the Family Email address of the device they want to join.
   This will be a <name>@ourskylight.com address. They only need to enter the <name>.
7.  Tap Add.

Once your request has been approved, you can send photos and videos directly to the Skylight device in the invite.
