For frames that have been just set up, it can sometimes take time to receive photos as it is still establishing a connection to our server.
If you are still not receiving photos after a few minutes, please try the following:
- Confirm you’re sending to the correct Skylight email address. Sometimes there’s a typo.
You can check your Skylight email address by tapping the screen, going to Settings > How it Works.
- Confirm that you’re sending to _______@ourskylight.com.
You may have accidentally sent to an address ending in '@skylight.com' or '@myskylight.com,' which are not correct. - A newly activated Skylight is set to Private. If sending from a different email, that email must be approved first. Usually, an approval email is sent to the device owner to confirm the new sender.
- Confirm that you’re sending photos as an attachment and not as a link.
- Try sending photos from a different email account or device.
- Try resetting your frame, as well as reset your Wi-Fi router.
- Unplug the power adapter of the frame (while it is on) for a couple of minutes, then plug it back in.
- Unplug the power adapters for your Wi-Fi router and modem for a couple of minutes, then plug them back in.
- Try moving your Skylight closer to your Wi-Fi router, as your signal may be a bit weak for Skylight to detect.
- Try using another network or a hotspot.
If this does not work, please contact us and we will be happy to help:
