My Skylight is not receiving photos. What do I do?

  • Updated

For frames that have been just set up, it can sometimes take time to receive photos as it is still establishing a connection to our server.

If you are still not receiving photos after a few minutes, please try the following:

  1. Confirm you’re sending to the correct Skylight email address. Sometimes there’s a typo.
You can check your Skylight email address by tapping the screen, going to Settings > How it Works.

  2. Confirm that you’re sending to _______@ourskylight.com.
You may have accidentally sent to an address ending in '@skylight.com' or '@myskylight.com,' which are not correct.
  3. A newly activated Skylight is set to Private. If sending from a different email, that email must be approved first. Usually, an approval email is sent to the device owner to confirm the new sender.
  4. Confirm that you’re sending photos as an attachment and not as a link.
  5. Try sending photos from a different email account or device.
  6. Try resetting your frame, as well as reset your Wi-Fi router.
    • Unplug the power adapter of the frame (while it is on) for a couple of minutes, then plug it back in.
    • Unplug the power adapters for your Wi-Fi router and modem for a couple of minutes, then plug them back in.
  7. Try moving your Skylight closer to your Wi-Fi router, as your signal may be a bit weak for Skylight to detect.
  8. Try using another network or a hotspot.

If this does not work, please contact us and we will be happy to help:
