What do I do if Skylight is not connecting to Wi-Fi?

  • Updated

Skylight is designed to work seamlessly with most Wi-Fi environments, but occasionally, connectivity issues may arise. If you're experiencing trouble, try these steps:

Quick Solution: Switch Networks

Sometimes, the issue lies with the network itself. If possible, try connecting to a different Wi-Fi network or a mobile hotspot. This simple step often resolves connectivity problems.

Step-by-Step Troubleshooting

  1. Power Cycle the Frame

    • Unplug the frame's power adapter from the wall outlet.
    • Wait 5 seconds, then plug it back in.
  2. Reset Wi-Fi Settings

    • Once the frame powers on, press Settings on the screen.
    • Select WiFi, then tap Reset WiFi at the bottom.
    • Choose your network from the list and enter the password to reconnect.
  3. Perform a Full Wi-Fi Reset (if the above steps don’t work)

    • Go to the WiFi settings on your frame.

    • Press and hold Reset WiFi three times to clear the current Wi-Fi settings and reboot the device.

    • Once the frame restarts, try reconnecting to your network.

  4.  Try to connect to a mobile hotspot.
    • This helps determine whether the issue is with the home Wi-Fi network.

    • If the device successfully connects to the hotspot, the problem is likely related to the router settings, signal strength, or network restrictions.

    • If it still won’t connect, the issue may be with the device itself or its Wi-Fi compatibility.
