Using Lists

Skylight Calendar can help you keep track of lists. By default, your Skylight Account has pre-made lists for a Shopping and To-Dos, but you can add, remove, and customize lists to fit your planning needs.

Viewing Lists

Tap Lists in the Navigation Bar to display your lists.

If you have too many lists to fit on the screen, swipe left or right to see additional lists.

Working With Items

Adding an Item

Add an item to a list:

  1. Tap Lists in the Navigation Bar
  2. Tap the name of the current list at the top of the popup to view the available lists.
  3. Select a list.
  4. Tap Enter New Item.
  5. Type the name of the item.
  6. Tap the green check.

Reordering Items

Lists can only be reordered in the Mobile App.

Reorder the items in a list, starting from the calendar home screen:

  1. Tap the Lists tile.
  2. Select a list.
  3. Long press a list item to select it for reordering.
    When the item becomes selected, space will appear around the item, and a small orange pointer will appear to the left of the item.
  4. Drag the item to a new location in the list.
  5. Release the item.

Checking Off a List Item

Check off an item in a list by tapping the box next to the item name.

If completed items are set to be visible, they will display with a filled checkbox, in gray text, and with strikethrough.

Viewing Completed Items

To view or hide complete items:

  1. Tap the Filter button.
  2. Toggle Completed to view or hide completed items.

Working With Lists

Creating a List

Create a new list on the Calendar:

  1. Tap Lists in the navigation bar.
  2. Tap the Filter button.
  3. Tap Add List.

The Add List dialog box will appear.

Across the top of the Add List dialog box is a row of buttons. Use the buttons to choose how you want to add the event:

  • Type the new list directly into your Calendar.
  • Take a Photo of the list and add it with Sidekick.
  • Talk about your list with Sidekick with the microphone on your phone.

Type will be selected by default.

Tapping Photo or Talk displays a QR code you can use to quickly activate Sidekick on the Skylight Mobile App. You can also use Sidekick features from within the Skylight Mobile App at any time.

Type the List Into Your Skylight Calendar

  1. Add a title in the Title textbox.
    Tap in the box and use the on-screen keyboard to add the title.
  2. Choose a List type.
    • Use To do for lists of To do items. 
    • Use Grocery to set up a grocery list.
      Skylight will always use the list named Grocery List for ingredients added with the Add to Grocery List buttons, but you may make as many additional grocery lists as you like.
    • Use Other for any other kind of list.
  3. Set the Color of the list.
    Tap a color in the color chooser.
  4. Tap Add.

Take a Photo of the List

  1. Select Photo.
  2. Scan the QR code to Load the Skylight Mobile App.

Describe the List With Your Voice

  1. Select Talk.
  2. Scan the QR code to Load the Skylight Mobile App.

Editing a List

  1. Tap the name of the list.
  2. Make any needed changes to:
    • Title
    • List Type
    • Color
  3. Tap Save.

Deleting a List

  1. Tap the name of the list.
    The Edit List dialog will appear.
  2. Tap Delete.

Tap Delete.
