The Skylight Mobile App can help you keep track of lists. By default, your Skylight account has pre-made lists for Shopping and To-Dos, but you can add, remove, and customize lists to fit your planning needs.
Tap the Lists icon to view and manage your lists:
Viewing Lists
View lists in the Mobile App:
- Tap Lists.
The Lists screen will display the available lists and item counts. - Select a list.
The view will switch to the contents of the list.
Working With Items
Adding an Item
Add an item to a list:
- Tap the Lists tile.
The Lists screen will display the available lists and item counts. - Select a list.
- Tap the Add button.
- In the Add Item field, type the name of the item.
- Tap Done.
Checking Off an Item
Check off an item in a list, starting from the calendar home screen:
- Tap the Lists tile.
- Select a list.
- Tap the empty checkbox for the list item.
The checkbox is on the right side of the list item.
The item will be immediately marked as completed and removed from the list. A status message will appear at the bottom of the screen to confirm the completion of the item.
If you accidentally mark an item as completed, tap Undo in the status message to mark the item as incomplete and return it to the list.
Viewing Completed Items
View completed items in the Mobile App, starting from the calendar home screen:
- Tap the Lists tile.
- Select a list.
- Tap Completed.
The Completed button is available under the list name.
Use the Completed button to view or hide completed items.
Working With a Group of Items
Group selection is only available on the Mobile App.
Select a group of list items in a list, starting from the calendar home screen:
- Tap the Lists tile.
- Select a list.
- Tap Select.
The Select button is available under the list name. - Select list items:
- To select all list items tap Select all.
- To select some list items, tap the checkboxes to the left of the item names.
With items selected, two additional buttons are available under the name of the list:
- Move
- Delete
Use the Move button to move the selected list items into a section. Sections are useful for breaking up large lists into smaller chunks that may be easier to manage. If the section name you choose already exists, the selected list items will be moved to that section. If the section name you choose does not exist, the section will be created, and the selected items will be moved to that section.
Use the Deleted button to remove all of the selected items.
If you decide you do not want to move or delete any items, tap Select to reset the selection.
Working With Lists
Creating a List
Create a new list:
- Tap Lists in the navigation bar.
- Tap the Add button.
The Add List dialog box will appear.
Across the top of the Add List dialog box is a row of buttons. Type in the information for the new list, or use the buttons to add the list with Sidekick:
Enter the new list information by typing in the pane, or tap one of the buttons to choose how you want to add the event with Sidekick:
- Take a Photo of the list and add it with Sidekick.
- Talk about your list with Sidekick with the microphone on your phone.
Sidekick requires a plus subscription. For more about Sidekick, please see Skylight Sidekick.
Type the Event Details
- Add a title in the Title textbox.
Tap in the box and use the on-screen keyboard to add the title. - Choose a List type.
- Use To do for lists of To do items.
- Use Grocery to set up a grocery list.
Skylight will always use the list named Grocery List for ingredients added with the Add to Grocery List buttons, but you may make as many additional grocery lists as you like. - Use Other for any other kind of list.
- Set the Color of the list.
Tap a color in the color chooser. - Tap Add.
Take a Photo of the List
Select Photo, and use Sidekick to create a list from the photo.<<link to sidekick KB article>>
Once Sidekick has processed your list, you will be given a chance to edit the imported list. Once the list has had any needed corrections, you can save the list to your Skylight account. If the list was created in error, you can delete the list.

Select Talk, and use Sidekick to create a list with your voice.<<link to KB article>>

Editing a List
Edit a list:
- Tap the Lists tile.
- Select a list.
- Tap Edit list.
The Edit list button is available under the list name.
Change the name, type, and color as needed.
When you have made all of the needed changes, tap Update.
Deleting a List
Delete a list:
- Tap the Lists tile.
- Select a list.
- Tap Edit list.
The Edit list button is available under the list name. - Tap Delete.
If you are sure you want to delete the list, tap Delete. If you would like to keep the list, tap Cancel. Deleting a list cannot be undone; once a list is deleted, it cannot be recovered.
