How do I activate my Frame?

Power On Your Frame

1. Plug the USB side of the power cable into the USB port in the wall adapter.
2. Connect the opposite end of your power cable (the round end) to Skylight (it plugs into the small hole on the back).
3. Plug it into an outlet.
4. In about 30 seconds, the Skylight home screen will appear.

Connect your Frame to Wi-Fi

1. The Wi-Fi menu will automatically show up on the right side of the Skylight home screen.
2. Choose your network from the list of Wi-Fi networks.
3. Type in your Wi-Fi password using the touch-screen keyboard. Make sure there are no typos!
4. Skylight will confirm when it has connected to the Wi-Fi. 

If the name of your network does not appear, wait for 30 seconds and check again. If it still does not appear, tap Forget All Networks And Rescan at the bottom of the Wi-Fi menu.

Activate Your Frame

Activate Your Frame With the Skylight Mobile App

1. Open the Skylight Mobile App on your phone.
2. Tap Add device.
3. Tap Skylight Frame.
4. Tap New device.
5. Choose who the device is for:
   • If the device is for you, tap Me.
   • If the device is a gift, tap Someone else.
6. Tap Confirm.
7. Add a device email address to be used with this Frame.
   This email address should be unique to this frame. Pick a name that you can share with your family and friends, if you want them to send photos to your Frame.
   You only need to type in the first part of the address. 
8. Under Frames, select Select a device.
9. Tap Next.

Under Privacy Settings, you can control who can send photos to your Frame, and which photos will be visible to them.

Under Who can send photos?, choose who has access to send photos to your Frame:

• Senders who I approve: only those that you explicitly approve will be able to send photos to your Frame.
• Anyone: anyone with your Frame's device email address will be able to send photos to your Frame.

Under Approve senders via, enter a personal email address where you will receive approval requests.

Under Senders can see, choose which photos have access to:

• All photos: senders will have access to all the photos in your Frame.
• Only photos they have sent: senders will only have access to the photos they have sent to your Frame.

10. Tap Next.
11. Optional — Tap Share device link to bring up a share sheet.
    Your family and friends can use the device link to access your Frame.
12. Tap Next.
13. Type the provided activation code into your Frame.
14. Tap Done.

Activate Your Frame With the Skylight Desktop App

1. Open the Skylight Desktop App.
2. Select Add device.
3. Select Skylight Frame.
4. Select New device.
5. Choose who the device is for:
   • If the device is for you, select Me.
   • If the device is a gift, select Someone else.
6. Select Confirm.
7. Add a device email address to be used with this Frame.
   This email address should be unique to this frame. Pick a name that you can share with your family and friends, if you want them to send photos to your Frame.

8. Under Frames, select Select a device.
9. Select Next.
